Teaching Kindness in Class.
(Monday, March 1, 2010: 11:22 PM) <<

I LOVE this! I'm going to send 'em stickers when I run the next batch, which is going to be soon. I'm running out. If you've mailed me a stamped envelope, I've got 'em! I've been meaning to do another video, 'cause there are a couple of really clever ones.

Anyway, check this out!

The Network of Kindness
(Saturday, September 5, 2009: 3:16 PM) <<

We were looking through our Twitter followers and found a few followers who are actively generating kindness by creating networks and good works, too. Check 'em out!

Meet Brock Tully who rides his bike into towns around the world talking about kindness. We're looking for an address to send him some stickers!

Extreme Kindness is a team of four friends who also travel around together performing as many "random acts of kindness" as they can.

The Kindness Center is a guy who teaches kindness in the workplace and in school. Great story of his kindness epiphany.

Nice to see more peeps in the kindness game! Let's play! Do you know of others?

I run an initiative called Help From Home http://www.helpfromhome.org/ which aims to encourage kind acts through micro-volunteering opportunitoes that can be done from the comfort of your own home - even while still dressed in your pyjamas!

There are over 450 positive actions to choose from which take from between 10 seconds to 30 minutes to complete.

As the tagline on the website says, 'See what you can do for the world - dressed just in your pyjamas'.

Which comes first - the blog or the Youtube? In this instance, it's the youtube.

Wooo! Kindness in music!
(Tuesday, July 21, 2009: 1:27 AM) <<

http://www.myspace.com/steveplesliemusic

We saw Steve Leslie last night at the Bluebird Cafe. He's an incredible songwriter who sounds like a countrified version of James Taylor. Towards the end of an awesome set, he sang "A simple act of kindness'

"A simple act of Kindness goes a long, long way..." it's a touching song with a beautiful message.

I caught up with him after the show and asked if we could make a music video for it, and he said he'd send us an mp3 and that we could do it!

So hopefully in the near future you'll be seeing a music video for this great song!

Hi there! Where are you coming from?
(Tuesday, June 16, 2009: 9:57 PM) <<

We got a huge spike of traffic yesterday and while the analytics gives me some idea of where people are coming from, there's a big chunk of people who are "direct referrals" meaning that you didn't click on a link in a forum or on a website somewhere, but instead maybe followed an email link, or typed the URL in directly? How'd you hear about GK? Leave a note in the comments, please!

Hi - well I was reading in the forums at Slickdeals.net and a link to your free stickers came up.

To me, that is a real compliment to see your link in the freebies section of any website since kindness & love are two of the greatest gifts you can give anyone.

And, btw, thanks for the kind offer of the stickers!

A friend of mine posted your link on Facebook. Why don't you have a Facebook page? Or do you, and I am missing it in my search??

Thanks for the offer of stickers! I am going to put one on my car, one on my mother's car, one in my cubicle at work and give the other two to friends! I will send you pix!!

Hi I found your link on Absolute Portal. I am really glad that you are a kindness generator. There should be more of you in the world. Thank you again.

Found you through a nifty Myspace application. I'm a free-stuff whore, so naturally the app that I found you on was Free Stuff Times, haha. Anyhow, I love this idea. I tried to order some stickers, but when I did a page full of html codes came up. I don't know if my request went through or not, but the html, I assume, is a problem that should be fixed ;]

haha, to be honest, i googled "free sticker." im decorating a photobox as a gift, and im on a nonexistent budget. this will work perfectly. :)

I've been placing your stickers in local geocaches. You can see a picture of the 'Patience Taught By Nature' geocache GC1MA77 at geocaching.com, Flickr & Photobucket. Truly appropriate match since GK came about to honor the life of a lost friend & this cache is dedicated to a courageous young man that lost his life shortly after saving a local boy from a child molester.

Thanks for all you do. LOVE the stickers!

I was reading the news, like I do every morning, getting more and more depressed and it started me thinking how the only times Ive ever really felt happy were when I was helping someone else (cheesy, I know). So, I started thinking maybe there was a blog somewhere with ideas on how to generate random acts of kindness that werent trite and googled 'blogs, kindness'.
