Proof why we need to generate kindness

A recent study shows that being negative has a bigger impact than being kind. The study suggests that being kind may or may necessarily result in reciprocity or “paying it forward” versus being mean or unkind is more likely to evoke a negative reaction. Take driving for instance. You might be courteous and let someone cut in front of you – they may or may not be courteous to someone else. However, if you cut someone off, the likelihood is increased that they’ll react unkindly.

What this seems to boil down to is that unless kindness is actively generated, there’s a greater likelihood that more unkindness makes its way into the world.

Nobody said it would be easy…
